NBC NEWS: Opinion-respiratory diseases are still killing people. We need we need to mask up again!
Read this to inform yourself as you consider using your mask to reduce flu, RSV and COVID risk and spread, especially in crowded spaces or poor ventilation. And to reduce risk of LONG COVID, which does not discriminate between severe and mild cases.
The Truth Behind Facemasks on Planes
Here is a good review of why masking on transportation and in other crowded public spaces remains relevant, regardless of the laws and politics.
My recommendation:
Wear masks in crowded situations (especially where you cannot socially distance, especially if ventilation is limited, or duration of exposure is long, if someone is coughing, speaking loudly, etc.)
Obtain and carry a mask you are comfortable with so you don’t minimize mask wearing that may save lives.
Discipline is not a dirty word. It saves lives. And demonstrates your care about others.
